Magnetic Shoe Co. was born from a simple observation: the footwear available to roofers working on metal surfaces was inadequate. After five years of development, we changed that.
Our Mission
Reducing Falls. Saving Lives.
Falls from roofs are one of the leading causes of serious injury and death in the Australian construction industry. Over 7,000 serious fall-related injury claims are made each year, with roofers disproportionately represented.
The Magnetic Shoe Co. was founded with a singular mission: to develop footwear that gives roofers and construction workers a genuine safety advantage when working on metal surfaces. Not a marginal improvement — a fundamental one.

5 Years in the Making
The Problem Identified
Experienced roofers working on metal Colorbond roofs recognised a critical gap — no footwear on the market adequately addressed the unique hazards of working on steep metal surfaces.
Research & Development Begins
The team began extensive R&D into magnetic sole technology, testing various magnet configurations, rubber compounds, and upper materials to find the optimal combination.
Patent Filed
After two years of development, the unique magnetic sole design was patented — the world's first patented magnetic roofing shoe sole technology.
Real-World Testing
Extensive field testing with experienced roofers across Australia. Feedback from the field drove further refinements to the design, sizing, and magnetic configuration.
Australian Launch
The Magnetic Roofer® Shoe launched exclusively in Australia through Magnetic Shoe Co., with immediate demand from the roofing and construction industries.

I Built This So You
Don't Have to Fall.
I've been in the building trade my whole working life. I know what it's like to be up on a steep metal roof in the middle of summer — the heat coming off the Colorbond, the sweat in your boots, and that feeling in your gut when your foot starts to slide.
Over the years I watched too many good blokes get hurt on roofs. Falls that changed their lives. Injuries that took them off the tools for months. And every time I'd think: "There has to be a better way."
So I spent five years figuring it out. Testing different sole compounds, different magnet configurations, different upper materials. I wasn't building a product — I was solving a problem I'd lived with every day on the job. When I finally got it right, I knew it was something real.
I've got a family depending on me. So do you. That's why I built the Magnetic Roofer® Shoe — not to make a quick dollar, but because I genuinely believe it can keep tradesmen safer on the roof. Every pair that goes out the door means one more bloke with a better chance of getting home to his family that night.
